When Count Camillo Negroni asked Fosco Scarselli, barman at Caffé Cassoni, to swap soda for gin in his usual Americano.

I’M THE NEGRONI NERD! THANKS FOR DROPPING BY. I’ve always enjoyed a Campari and Orange Juice but I  fell in love with Negronis when Googling cocktail recipes with Campari in them.

ONE MUST DRINK CAMPARI THREE TIMES BEFORE BEGINNING TO LIKE IT.

To be honest, my first Negroni was tough going. But the more I settled in and paid attention, the more I fell for its seductive complexities and balance. I’ve since gone full nerd.
